Dalaman International Airport Project has been implemented within the framework of Build-Operate-Transfer model. Within the scope of this project, the construction of an international passenger terminal of 149,000 m2 with a capacity of 10 million passengers, a ramp of 210,000 m2 with a capacity of 35 aircrafts, a parking lot of 45,000 m2, 3,000 meters-long runway renovation, slip roads, and CAT-2 lighting system was completed by using the cutting-edge technologies and systems. The international solution partners of this project included Obermayer, Scott Wilson, Deloitte, and Miller Insurance Services and the project was completed 8 months prior to the planned date of completion and it now ranks as the 3rd biggest airport of Turkey.
Within the scope of this project, the master plan of Korkit Ata Airport was prepared and the designs of the terminal building, runway, ramp and link roads, CAT1 runway lighting system, meteorological systems, all types of technical facilities, and fuel hydrant system were prepared.
Aktau International Airport has been constructed within the framework of the Build – Operate – Transfer model. Within the scope of this project, a passenger terminal of 13,500 m2 with a capacity of 2 million passengers, a ramp of 110,000 m2 with a capacity of 14 aircrafts, a runway of 3,050 meters-long together its slip roads, and a CAT-1 lighting system have been built by using the cutting-edge technologies and systems. YDA Group will operate Aktau Airport, which ranks as the third biggest airport in Kazakhstan, for 30 years.
When completed, this airport project, which is currently under construction with the cutting-edge technologies and systems, will be on the leading edge amongst the Eastern European airports with its Terminal Building of 83,500 m2, Ramp area of 185,000 m2, slip roads of 22,431 m2, access way of 50,509 m2, parking lot of 32,318 m2, and landscape area of 114,980 m2.
It is planned to open the New Terminal Building of the Dalaman International Airport, whose construction started in 2015, to serve the people of the region, the tourism sector and economy of our country on 28th April 2018. The scope of the contract covers the construction of a New Terminal Building (155,000 m2 closed area, 126,807 m2 usable area), the New Apron Barrier Building (with 167 m2 closed area), New Power Plant-Heat Power Center, Energy Distribution Building (with a 6,000 m2 closed area built on a 4.000 m2 base), the demolition of the Former Domestic Terminal Building (24,000 m2), construction of a Parking Lot (with a capacity of 284 cars, 220 busses, and 368 other vehicles following a re-organization of the existing parking lot), a Viaduct (of nearly 760 m) and New Terminal roads. With connection roads, parks, a biological treatment plant, solar energy system and other auxiliary buildings to render the New Terminal energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly, the passenger capacity of the New Terminal of the Dalaman Airport will be 15 million, bringing momentum to regional tourism. By financing the construction and operation of the New Terminal of the Dalaman Airport through the Public – Private Partnership (PPP) model, EBRD entered for the first time in its history in financing he growth of a regional airport. The EUR 162 million Investment Loan Agreement for the New International Terminal of the Dalaman Airport has been signed with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and UniCredit Bank.
